In the Sephardic tradition, we believe that you have a chance to be reborn – when you retire!

You invite your friends and family for a ritual, sewing around you the shroud of the dead.

You lie down and meditate about all the things that you want to leave behind, you let them be absorbed by the cloth, and then you shed it like a skin.

You are now reborn, as the best version of yourself!

I wrote the song Una Segunda Piel about this ritual.

My favourite line from the song is Con Los Anyos Viene El Sechel, which means With The Years Comes Wisdom.
