Your support, Our hope.

For centuries, Jewish communities have carried their culture across borders.

The Sephardic story is one of the most beautiful examples of this. After leaving the Iberian Peninsula, Sephardic Jews carried their language, music, stories, food, traditions, and memories with them across the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Middle East, and eventually to communities around the world.

Along the way, something remarkable happened. A culture grew that held both Jewish and Hispanic worlds within it, shaped by movement, adaptation, and the human ability to carry a sense of home wherever we go.

We believe there is something deeply worth preserving in that story.

At Nova Foundation for the Arts, we work to keep these cultural traditions alive and accessible through music, education, visual arts, and traditional crafts. Our work has a particular focus on Sephardic heritage and the rich cultural traditions that have grown around it.

Because culture doesn’t stay alive on its own.

It stays alive when a grandmother teaches a song to her granddaughter.
When a family keeps making the food their ancestors made.
When an old story is told one more time.
When a language spoken at home finds a new generation of speakers.
When a traditional melody finds its way onto a new stage.
When someone who has never encountered a culture before hears its music and thinks, I want to know more.

This is how culture moves through time.

We know this because so many of us carry something that was handed down to us. Sometimes it is a language. Sometimes it is a recipe, a melody, a craft, a holiday, or a story. Sometimes it is simply a feeling, the sense that we belong to something that existed before us and will hopefully continue after us.

The United States is home to people from more than 180 nationalities. Together, they bring an extraordinary tapestry of languages, traditions, music, stories, and crafts.

We want to help make that richness visible.

We want to create places where traditions can be remembered without being frozen in the past, where artists can breathe new life into them, where younger generations can discover them, and where people from different backgrounds can encounter one another through the arts.

Your support helps us do that.

When you give to Nova Foundation for the Arts, you help artists, educators, and cultural practitioners share what they carry. You help create opportunities for traditions to be heard, practiced, celebrated, and passed on.

Whether you give $10, $100, or $1,000, you are helping keep a cultural thread unbroken.

Support Nova Foundation for the Arts.

Help us care for what has been handed down to us, and make sure there is something beautiful to hand down to the next generation.

From generation to generation.
