What did you learn this year?

When people told me last year that they can’t wait for 2020 to be over, because bad luck will end with it, I was skeptical.
I mean, what’s a year? It’s just a number that we made up to give our lives structure. Just like we’ve created Math, Faith, Psychology, Mythology & everything else.
But the bottom line is that nothing makes sense. Because if everything always worked out, good will no longer be special.
It’s because the world is in chaos, that when something seems right, it feels like magic. This is why love is such a powerful emotion, because it’s rare.
This year taught me about letting go, and how it can be very emancipating sometimes. I’m still learning, and I think it’s a lesson that will accompany me in the years to come.
All I know is that I’ve become more grounded and more sure of who I am, no matter the circumstances. And that sometimes I need to say no, instead of yes and.
To you, who are reading these words, even without looking into your eyes, I can say that you’re stronger than you know. And it’s gonna get better.
What did you learn this year?
Love, Nani
